New Delhi: The Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith Hind will hold its 35th All India Conference at Ram Lila Maidan here on November 9-10. The theme of the conference is “Respect for Humanity and World Religions”. Noted scholars, Ulama and community leaders from India and abroad are expected to attend the conference.
The preparations for the event are going in full swing. Jamiat Ameer, Maulana Asghar Imam Mehdi Salafi told Radiance that the theme was chosen in the context of the present hateful environment in the country. The country is facing several serious problems including bigotry and violence in the name of religion and we want to convey the message of peace that all religions preach humanity and respect of other faiths, he said.
He asserted that although all world religions uphold and promote respect for humankind, kindness, love, and peace, Islam is the guardian and purveyor of such values. They impart lessons on civic peace, fraternity, tolerance, and goodwill. All faiths share these common and universal values, which include the sanctity and preservation of life and property, honour and reputation, religion, faith, and the intellect and consciousness of all people, regardless of their caste, color, gender, or socioeconomic status. The benchmarks of majesty and dignity are piety and righteousness.
In order to make the conference successful a review meeting was also held at the Jamiat headquarters in which top officials of Jamiat participated. During the two-day jamboree, seminar and symposium will be organised.
