Markazi Taleemi Board Organizes School Development Workshop, Highlights Roadmap for Quality Education in Maharashtra

Educational leaders from across Maharashtra gathered for a School Development Workshop jointly organised by the Markazi Taleemi Board (MTB) Maharashtra and the Holistic Education Trust (HET), Maharashtra, at Dr. Rafiq Zakaria College for Women. The programme focused on strengthening school leadership, improving educational quality and equipping institutions with practical strategies for long-term development.

The workshop brought together headmasters, principals, supervisors and educational administrators from different districts of the state. The organisers said the objective was to provide practical guidance on preparing effective School Development Plans, enhancing institutional performance and promoting the holistic development of students through better educational leadership.

Moulana Ilyas Khan Falahi, Patron of Markazi Taleemi Board Maharashtra, addressed the participants and highlighted the need for educational institutions to remain committed to academic excellence while nurturing moral values and disciplined learning environments. He encouraged school leaders to adopt thoughtful planning and continuous improvement to meet the changing needs of students and society.

Prof. Siddiqui Mohd. Mahmood, Senior Professor and Dean of Students’ Welfare at Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, delivered a detailed presentation on the School Development Plan and the role of institutional leadership in improving educational outcomes. He explained how systematic planning and regular assessment help schools identify their strengths, address shortcomings and build a culture of quality education.

Dr. Maqdoom Farooqui, Principal of Dr. Rafiq Zakaria College for Women, welcomed the initiative and stressed the importance of collaboration among educational institutions to achieve academic excellence. Dr. Badrul Islam, Assistant Professor at Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Aurangabad, discussed practical approaches to addressing contemporary educational challenges and encouraged participants to adopt innovative methods while remaining focused on students’ overall development.

The sessions received an encouraging response from participants, who appreciated the practical guidance shared by the speakers on institutional planning, leadership and educational improvement. Many described the workshop as a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and learning from experienced educationists.

The programme was coordinated by Mr. Sartaaj Shaker, retired Deputy Education Officer, whose efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the workshop. The organisers also acknowledged the contributions of Mr. Shaikh Najmuddin, Mr. Ilyas Sir, Mr. Toufeeq, Nazim of Aurangabad District, and Mr. Rehan Fazal in planning and implementing the event.

Markazi Taleemi Board Maharashtra and the Holistic Education Trust expressed gratitude to the speakers, participants and the management of Dr. Rafiq Zakaria College for Women for supporting the successful conduct of the workshop and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening educational institutions across Maharashtra.
