Mateen Ashraf elected president of MANUU Students Union

Hyderabad, Nov. 3, 2023: Mateen Ashraf has been elected President of Maulana Azad National Urdu University Students Union. He is the eleventh President of MANUU Students Union.

The election was held for the academic year 2023-24 here Thursday. Ashraf, a candidate from the Azad United Students Federation panel, secured 1010 votes with a margin of 490 votes. From the same panel, MBA student Syed Salman Ali was elected to the position of Secretary of the Students Union.

Ashraf has done his Graduation and Post Graduation in Urdu from the Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He was elected cabinet member in the AMU Students’ Union in the year 2017. He is a dedicated social activist and committed member of the Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO).

Ashraf’s victory will undoubtedly promote students’ fraternity on the campus and assure the advancement and betterment of all students. With his activist background along with outstanding leadership skills, Ashraf will unquestionably be an asset to the student community. He is all set to embark on his new journey as the president with his enthusiasm and commitment along with the trust and esteem of the student community.
