11 May 2024: Maulana Kaka Sayeed Ahmed Oomeri, Vice President of All India Muslim Personal Law Board and General Secretary of Jamia Darussalam Oomerabad, passed away in his hometown today. He played a significant role in the administration and development of Jamia Darussalam.
The late Maulana Kaka Sayeed Ahmed was known for his profound knowledge of Islamic teachings. He was a man of moderation and it was not just a trait but a defining feature of his personality.
Maulana Kaka Sayeed Ahmed was a person of knowledge and action, advocate of unity and painstaking preacher of Islam, who never made any publicity for his activities.
Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, President of AIMPLB has expressed his deep sorrow over the death of renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Kaka Sayeed Ahmed and said, “He was an exemplary personality, a beautiful combination of knowledge and action. He worked hard in the field of education. Jamia Darussalam Oomerabad achieved great progress under his leadership. He always kept himself on the path of inviting people to Islam and brotherhood. As Senior Vice President of AIMPLB, he put all his efforts into the Board’s activities. The Ummah is in dire need of such scholars. May Allah accept Maulana’s work and grant him Jannatul Firdous.”
Azeezuddin Belgaumi, a renowned poet said in his condolence message, “Maulana Kaka Sayeed Ahmed was a literary man. During my recitations at the Mushairas of Oomerabad, Maulana Kaka Sayeed had a composed demure. He appreciated my writings and poems, and his words always carried the essence of his personality. I am deeply saddened by his death.”
His funeral prayer will be held on Sunday, at 11:00 AM on the premises of Jamia Darussalam Mosque, Oomerabad.
