Jaipur: The Minority Education Awareness Meet 2024 was inaugurated at the Pink City Press Club, showcasing the talents of students from seven participating schools through quiz and speech competitions. Heera Public School emerged victorious in the quiz, with Madarsa Jamia Taiyab and Ahangaran School following closely. In the speech competition, Esha from Ahangaran School claimed first place, while Simra from Heera Public School and Alia from Aziz Public School secured second and third, respectively.
The event featured prominent speakers, including ADCP Mustafa Ali Jaidi, Assistant Director of Akashvani Reshma Khan, international journalist Dr. Tabina Anjum Qureshi, and Advocate Jameel Khan, who motivated students by sharing insights from their professional journeys and providing guidance for future success.
Organizer Dr. Ismail noted that this was the first quiz and speech competition aimed specifically at minority school students in both Jaipur and the broader state of Rajasthan. He emphasized the importance of this initiative in empowering students through exposure to various fields and encouraging academic excellence.
Sara Ismail, another organizer, highlighted the event’s unprecedented nature within the minority community, stating it has boosted students’ confidence and illustrated their potential for future achievements. The engaging format, led by Dr. Jaiba Zinat from All India Radio, kept students captivated as she posed questions and facilitated discussions.
Participants were given 40 quiz questions and asked to choose between two speech topics: “Why is the percentage of higher education decreasing among Muslims in the current situation?” and “Why are Muslim students not able to enter civil services?” Students prepared thoroughly, delivering insightful speeches followed by interactive Q&A sessions.
The event attracted a diverse audience, including educational leaders, social workers, and community members, reinforcing its success and relevance. Dr. Mohammad Sharif, Advocate Jameel Khan, and several other distinguished guests contributed to the rich dialogue and supportive atmosphere of the meet.
This Meet was more than just a competition; it was a celebration of students’ potential and a step toward addressing educational disparities within the minority community.
