London: Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has been named the ICC Player of the Month for August 2025 after his outstanding performance in the final Test against England at The Oval. His decisive spells secured India a six-run win in the fifth Test, helping the team level the series 2-2.
Siraj played a pivotal role on the final day of the match. He dismissed three key English batsmen in the morning session, finishing with nine wickets in the Test. His ability to deliver under pressure ensured India’s first series draw in England since 2018.
Speaking about the recognition, Siraj said it was an honor to be acknowledged at the international level. He described the Anderson–Tendulkar Trophy as one of the toughest series he has played. Facing England’s batting line-up in home conditions tested his skills, but he expressed pride in contributing during crucial stages of the contest.

In the women’s category, Ireland all-rounder Orla Prendergast won the award after scoring 144 runs and taking four wickets in a T20I series against Pakistan, followed by a strong showing in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier.
