Thousands of Moroccans took to the streets in Casablanca on Sunday in solidarity with Gaza and in rejection of the ongoing Israeli genocide, the Palestinian Information Centre has reported. Events were re-enacted to express the suffering of the Palestinians in the war-torn enclave.
As per a report by the Middle East Monitor, the demonstrators called for continued support for the Palestinian cause. Under the slogan “Support the resistance and stop the genocide in Gaza”, the march was attended by human rights activists as well as other concerned Moroccans. They waved the flags of Palestine and Morocco, and held up pictures of Al-Aqsa Mosque. Some carried photographs showing the extent of the destruction caused by the Israeli war against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Participants chanted support for Gaza, solidarity with the Palestinians and the unity of the Palestinian and Moroccan people.
