Hundreds of Moroccans staged a protest in the capital, Rabat, on Tuesday evening to condemn Israel’s resumption of genocide in the Gaza Strip, said an Anadolu report.
The report said the protesters gathered in front of the parliament building, holding up images of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian flag. They called on the international community to stop Israel’s aggression against Gaza. The demonstrators also denounced Israel’s violation of the ceasefire agreement and the renewed attacks on the Gaza Strip.
In a sudden escalation, Israel resumed its military offensive on Gaza at dawn on March 18, launching heavy attacks across most areas of the enclave. By 10 a.m. (GMT), the attacks had resulted in “404 martyrs and over 562 injuries,” according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
This assault marks the most significant breach of the ceasefire agreement brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States in January.
The protest, organised by the non-governmental group “Action Group for Palestine,” featured chants praising Palestinian resilience and condemning continued Western support for Tel Aviv despite the ongoing genocide.
Participants carried banners with slogans such as “Against Donald Trump’s ethnic cleansing project” and “Normalization is a crime and betrayal.”
The group held the protest under the slogan: “The continuation of genocide is a full-fledged crime against humanity; resistance is an existential duty.”
