The Hague: Hundreds of motorcyclists took to the streets of The Hague on Sunday in a powerful display of solidarity with the people of Palestine, as per a report by the Middle East Monitor.
The rally, organized by the group Free Palestine Bikers, attracted participants not only from across the Netherlands but also from neighboring Germany and Belgium.
The motorcyclists assembled at Malieveld Square before moving as a convoy through the city’s main thoroughfares. The procession passed by significant landmarks, including the International Court of Justice and the Dutch Parliament, amplifying their message of support.
Many riders waved Palestinian flags and wore the iconic black-and-white keffiyeh, a symbol of Palestinian resistance and unity.
The convoy concluded peacefully as it returned to Malieveld Square, where the rally ended.
The demonstration comes against the backdrop of Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza, which has claimed the lives of nearly 63,500 Palestinians since October 2023. The humanitarian crisis has deepened, with famine spreading across the besieged enclave in what observers describe as the second year of genocide.
Last November, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity. Simultaneously, Israel is facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
The Hague rally adds to the growing wave of international solidarity actions, as ordinary citizens demand justice and accountability for Palestine.
