Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Movement for Peace and Justice for Welfare held a one day capacity building workshop to prepare civil society members for its upcoming statewide campaign titled Jeevan Ka Adhikar, Garima Ke Saath. The campaign begins on November 17 and will conclude with a national convention on January 11, 2026.

The workshop introduced activists, social workers and community organisers to the campaign’s objectives. Mahmood Khan opened the event with remarks on the link between the right to life and human dignity. A group activity led by Anees Muhammad explained Article 21 of the Constitution and its reach. Participants discussed its application to health, education, food, water, privacy, environment and livelihood.
The next session featured a panel moderated by Tanzim Ansari on the theme Zameeni Haqeeqat, Hashiye Ke Logon Ki Awaaz. Speakers described how marginalised communities still struggle to access basic rights. Dalit, Adivasi, minority and women’s groups were highlighted. Workers from the unorganised sector shared accounts from their regions and underlined the need for stronger protection mechanisms.

Campaign coordinator Altaf Hussain presented the plan for the statewide outreach. He outlined activities, timelines and the approach leading up to the national convention. Participants later formed district level action plans. They focused on awareness drives, local engagement, transport arrangements, campaign events and media work.
The workshop ended with a message from Muhammad Siraj. He urged participants to strengthen the movement and help expand access to the right to life with dignity. Organisers said the workshop provided a clear roadmap and a shared strategy for the coming weeks.
