He along with Prasidh Krishna was sent to National Cricket Academy, Brisbane, Australia for Training by MRF Pace Foundation in 2019. Prasidh Krishna is already representing Indian National Team. Mukhtar is only 25 years old and has a bright future ahead. I am confident he will play for India one day and make Assam and India equally proud.”
“Mukhtar Hussain’s nick name is Saiyan. In fact, he had left playing cricket till 2012. Around 10 years ago we started Cricket Coaching Center High School field. We went to his house and encouraged him to play again and from there he started his Cricket carrier. He had good potential but left Cricket due to financial constraint. Here Salim, president and secretary of Dibrugarh Cricket Stadium and a Ranji Player and coach guided Mukhtar. Thereafter he was selected in state team under 16 and 19 years and then he kept on moving and for the last three years he is playing in Ranji. He is a very promising young bowler from Dibrugarh and Assam. We wish him all the best,” said Tariq Khan who is President of Dibrugarh District Veterans Cricket Association and Sports Organiser, and President of Pioneers Sporting Club.

It is a proud moment for all of us in Dibrugarh and Assam. As I am also sportsperson and have represented Assam in Arm Wrestling would like to relate to his achievements along with the hurdles and the obstacle one goes through to reach to the level of making our hometown and our state proud. I wish all the best for his bright future.”
