Mumbai Muslims Launch 12-Day “Prophet For All” Campaign to Promote Peace and Unity

Mumbai, Sep 4:  A group of prominent Muslims in Mumbai has initiated a 12-day “Prophet For All” campaign, starting from September 4, aimed at creating awareness about the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The campaign, which will run until September 16, coincides with the Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, marking the birth of the Prophet.

Former MLA Yusuf Abrahani, a key organizer, emphasized that the campaign seeks to educate people, particularly those of other faiths, about the Prophet’s message of peace, amity, and brotherhood. “We want to erase misunderstandings about Islam and promote harmony among communities,” Abrahani stated at a press conference.

Now in its third year, the campaign encourages non-Muslims to visit mosques to gain a better understanding of Islamic practices. Additionally, Muslims are urged to invite friends from other faiths to their homes for meals, fostering interfaith dialogue and understanding.

A significant feature of this year’s campaign is a national-level blood donation drive, aiming to collect 50,000 units, surpassing the previous record of 35,000 units. The organizers also plan to conduct 500 medical camps across Maharashtra, offering services to people of all faiths. Other activities include legal aid camps and visits to schools, police stations, and old age homes.

The campaign was inaugurated with a special women’s meeting at Islam Gymkhana, where former actress Sana Khan expressed her pride in being associated with the initiative. She encouraged participants to actively spread the campaign’s message to their communities.

The event was attended by various community leaders, including Principal Zeba Malik, Dr. Qasim Imam, and Advocate Farhana Shah, among others. Abida Paluba, President of Islam Gymkhana Women’s Wing, presided over the meeting.
