Mumbai: Raashid Khan of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Maharashtra (Mumbai), addressed a press conference organized by the Interfaith Religious Solidarity Council at Press Club Mumbai to condemn the recent Red Fort car blast in Delhi.
Khan emphasized the need for strict punishment for those responsible for the attack. He stated that culprits must face severe penalties that serve as a deterrent for future incidents. The religious leader raised serious questions about the role of intelligence agencies in preventing such attacks.
Khan called for transparent and proper investigations into such incidents. He stressed that Indian citizens deserve to know what intelligence agencies are doing and where gaps exist in security protocols.
Khan questioned why attacks continue despite heightened alert after previous incidents. He highlighted the presence of over 700,000 armed forces personnel in Kashmir, yet security breaches persist.
Speaking on behalf of the Interfaith Religious Solidarity Council, Khan demanded the government establish clear accountability. He asked who bears responsibility when attacks like Pulwama and Pahalgam occur, and where failures lie in the system.
