Muslim Boy Assaulted by Hindutva Men, Forced to Chant Religious Slogans in Madhya Pradesh

In yet another disturbing incident highlighting the growing communal tensions in India, a Muslim boy in Madhya Pradesh was allegedly assaulted by a group of Hindutva men who forcibly made him chant religious slogans associated with their ideology.
The incident reportedly occurred in the Dewas district, where the attackers filmed themselves slapping the minor and pressuring him to say “Jai Shri Ram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” The video quickly went viral on social media, drawing widespread outrage.
According to reports, the boy was visibly distressed and tried to resist, but the group continued to intimidate and humiliate him. The local police have taken cognizance of the matter and registered a case under relevant sections, including those of the Juvenile Justice Act and Indian Penal Code.
Rights groups and activists have condemned the incident, calling it a blatant act of communal bullying and an attack on religious freedom. Many have demanded swift justice and called for an end to the use of religious slogans as tools of coercion and intimidation.
Such cases have been on the rise across India, with several Muslim individuals targeted and harassed by extremist groups under the pretext of nationalism or religious supremacy. Human rights organizations warn that this trend could escalate if not addressed promptly.
