On the death anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, a Divisional Muslim Community Intellectual Conference was held in Baran. The event took place on Sunday at a private hotel near Baran Police Line. It was organized by the Dr. APJ Kalam Janseva Sansthan, Baran.
Dr. Majid Malik Commando, Chairman of Bharat Mata College, Kishanganj, coordinated the event. Mazid Salim, Baran Anjuman Sadar, served as the co-coordinator. They said this was the first divisional-level intellectual conference for the Muslim community hosted by the Sansthan in Baran.
The chief guest was Arshad Ali, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Rajasthan, Jaipur. The event was presided over by Dr. Zafar Mohammad, Chairman of Pragati College Group, Kota.
Prominent guests included Dr. Nasir Khan, Advocate and Scientist from Jaipur; A.G. Mirza, Chairman of Sarvodaya College Group, Kota; Mohammad Tahir, RAS Officer from Bhilwara; Anees Ahmad, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kota; Abdul Hafiz, Tehsildar of Pachpahar, Jhalawar; Manzoor Ali Diwan, Tehsildar of Atru; and Gulam Rasool, Professor at Government College, Kota.
Dr. Majid Commando noted that attendees came from across the Hadoti division—Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, and Baran. The goal of the conference was to address issues like education, career guidance, unity, and social harmony in the Muslim community.
He stressed that discipline and punctuality lead to success. He urged the community to be honest, united, and become solutions, not problems, for society.
Chief Guest Arshad Ali emphasized the need for social leadership. He said people should focus on education and jobs, and build mental strength, rather than chasing brands.
The Sansthan also honored intellectuals from the Hadoti region at the event.
