Muslim Leaders Call for Palestinians Rights

Bengaluru, October 22, 2023: In a joint statement, heads of various Muslim organisations of Karnataka on Sunday expressed deep anguish at the situation prevailing in Palestine, especially Gaza.

The statement said, “We express our deep anguish at the situation in Palestine especially Gaza. We condemn the continued destruction of innocent human lives, more so of women and children. Blockade of the supply of water, food, medicine and electricity to the Gazans is condemnable. We also condemn the bombing of residential areas and attempts to evacuate the people from there.

Reminding that the Zionist government has been displacing the Palestinians from their homes and lands for 70 years continuously, the statement lamented, “The original inhabitants of Palestine are being tortured barbarically. The aggressive moves of the Zionist government are deterrent to restoration of peace in the area.

The signatories to the statement urged the international forces to “come into action immediately to stop bloodshed in Palestine. It is inevitable to ensure the restoration of rights of Palestinians and enforce international laws in order to establish perpetual peace in the area.”
