Chandigarh : In an alarming incident reportedly driven by religious intolerance, a Muslim minor boy was attacked after offering Friday prayers at a mosque in Chandigarh.
According to a complaint filed at the IT Park Police Station, a Hindu youth approached the boy and demanded that he chant “Jai Shri Ram.”
When the boy refused, he was allegedly physically assaulted. A video capturing the incident has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread condemnation, reported the Tribune.
In a positive development, the fathers of both the boys met and amicably resolved the matter, urging the public to maintain peace and harmony.
