“Muslim Personal Law is an integral part of Shariah. No Muslim can avoid the laws of inheritance as they are enshrined in the Quran itself. It is important to protect the faith and belief in the soul of the new generation. Allah has promised to protect the Quran,” said Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mehli at India Islamic Cultural Centre, Delhi.
While addressing the convention on Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ, Maulana said, “The Quran is a treasure of knowledge and arts. History tells that after studying the Qur’ān, scholars and scientists like Ibn Sina, Zahrawi, Jabir Habban and Ishaq Al-Kindi were produced. Therefore, we should enrich our children with the wealth of knowledge.”
Maulana Firangi Mehli also released ‘Seerat Souvenir – 2023’. The convention was organized by Sirat-un-Nabi ﷺ Committee, Delhi.
Maulana Firangi Mehli apprised the audience that today a nation is ruling the world by acquiring and exploring knowledge. He said that our constitution has given every right to acquire knowledge. Maulana said that training children is equally important along with knowledge.
Maulana drew the attention towards the rights of people, especially the rights of parents and spouses. “All Creation is the family of Allah,” he said.
Renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Shafiq Ahmed Islahi drew attention towards the fear of God and death in the light of Hadith. “After death, the actions of a person go along with the deceased,” he said.
He explained the definition of piety. He emphasized the need of Muslim unity, the need to hold firmly to the Quran and the need for unity in the nation.
“Only teachings of the Quran and Hadith can solve all our problems,” he said.
Presiding over the convention, Dr. Syed Farooq focused on the process of living, the process of earning livelihood and the process of expressing one’s thoughts in the light of Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ holy life and expressed his views on the rights of parents and spouses. He talked about understanding and learning things in the light of the Quran and the life of the Prophet ﷺ and said to learn to forgive mistakes of people.
The secretary of Seerat-ul-Nabi ﷺ committee, Kausar Ali, presented the report of the committee, saying that every year the committee has been organizing meetings, seminars and iftar programs in different areas. More than 140 programs have been conducted so far.
At the end of the meeting, the president of the committee, Abdul Rasheed, explained the rights of the Holy Prophet ﷺ and thanked the scholars, the Islamic Center, the organizing members and the audience.
