Nagpur: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a purposeful program was organized on 8 March in Nagpur with the collaboration of various social organizations. The program was jointly organized by different organizations, including the Women’s Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.
The program commenced with a rally in which women participated enthusiastically. The objective of the rally was to spread awareness in society about women’s rights, dignity, and justice. Following the rally, the main program was held at Juma Talab Garden.
Keeping in view this year’s Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain,” the representatives of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Women’s Wing highlighted the true status of women and the concept of real empowerment in the light of the Qur’an and Hadith. They explained that Islam grants women dignity, rights, and a respectable position in society.
The message was beautifully conveyed through a meaningful poem, followed by a brief explanation to ensure that the message was clearly understood by the audience.
Approximately 150–200 women attended the program. Participants belonged to different social organizations and various sections of society.
The program received a very positive response from the participating women.
