Aligarh: The 30th National Seminar on “Information Literacy for Developing Enlightened Library/Information User Community in the New Age” organised by the Department of Library and Information Science, Aligarh Muslim University, under the aegis of Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centres (IASLIC), concluded.
Addressing the valedictory session, the Chief Guest, Prof. Shalini Lihitkar of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, stressed the critical role of libraries in bridging knowledge gaps and promoting inclusivity.
Earlier, Mr. Abhijeet Kumar welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of fostering informed communities in the digital age.
Prof. Narendra Lahkar delivered an engaging lecture focusing on the need for libraries to be adapt to emerging technological trends.
In his concluding remarks, Prof. N.R. Satyanarayana emphasised the significance of continuous dialogue and research in advancing information literacy.
Presenting the seminar report, Prof. Sudharma Haridasan said that the three-day seminar featured academic sessions, panel discussions and poster presentations, showcasing innovative research and best practices in library sciences. The best poster and best paper awards were given to the winners of these events. He said that 56 papers were presented over the 9 technical sessions.
Prof. M. Masoom Raza, the Organising Secretary, extended a vote of thanks.
