New Six-Bedded Cath Lab Step-Down Ward Inaugurated at JNMCH

Aligarh: The Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Professor Naima Khatoon, inaugurated a new six-bedded Cath Lab Step-Down Ward at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMCH) in the presence of the Dean and Principal, JNMCH Professor Veena Maheshwari, Registrar Mohammad Imran (IPS), Medical Superintendent Professor Amjad Rizvi, and faculty members of the Department of Cardiology, including Professor Malik Azharuddin, Dr. Rafi Anwar, Dr. Moaaz Kidwai, Professor Shaad Aqbari, DM residents, and Cath Lab staff.

Professor Asif Hasan, Chairman, Department of Cardiology, highlighted that the Cath Lab complex now has 12 beds, significantly easing the burden on the main CCU by enabling direct patient discharge from the Cath Lab area. This advancement enhances convenience and patient care.

He further shared plans to increase DM seats from two to five annually, aiming to elevate healthcare standards.
