Hyderabad: Indian boxing icon Nikhat Zareen has taken on a new role, officially joining the police force as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). On Wednesday, Zareen submitted her joining report to Director General of Police (DGP) Dr. Jitender, marking a significant career transition for the world champion athlete, reported ANI.
The DGP shared the news on the social media platform X, expressing his pride and excitement in welcoming the two-time world boxing champion to her new role.
“We are proud to have Nikhat Zareen, a two-time world champion and Olympic boxer, join us as Deputy Superintendent of Police (Special Police). She hails from Nizamabad and officially reported for duty today,” Dr. Jitender posted.
