The Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Khalili, has praised the ongoing boycott of commercial brands and products supporting the Israeli occupation since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip, as per a report published by Middle East Monitor.
Sheikh Al-Khalili took to X yesterday to say: “We were pleased with the results of the steadfast boycott of companies that support the Zionist entity in its aggression against the oppressed Palestinian people.”
It said digilent Arabs, Muslims and others around the world joined the movement to boycott all companies that support the “Zionist entity in its attacks on the oppressed Palestinian people and neighbouring societies.”
He added that “there is no doubt that this boycott is having an active role in making the truth victorious and standing against oppression.”
Through this movement, Mufti Al-Khalili said, the oppressed people’s rights “will be returned to them, in full, and every inch of their land will be freed from the occupation.”
Sheikh Al-Khalili’s statement came after French multinational retailer Carrefour announced on Monday that it will close all its stores in Jordan due to an ongoing boycott of brands supporting Israel.
