Organisation of Intellectual Muslims Churu Forms New Executive Committee

Churu: A meeting of the “Organisation of Intellectual Muslims, Churu” was held under the chairmanship of Haji Yakub Theem at Madrasa Darul Uloom here. The meeting witnessed a consensus on expanding the executive committee.

The meeting, focused on the “Challenges Faced by the Muslim Community,” brought together several intellectual Muslim citizens for deliberation. Mufti Mohammad Shafiq Qasmi inaugurated the meeting with recitation of the Quran.

Shaukat Khan initiated the discourse, shedding light on the meeting’s objectives and mission. He highlighted the pressing challenges faced by the Muslim community, such as education, employment, and social justice. He emphasised the need for unity and concerted efforts to address these issues. He further stressed the requirement of a mature and effective organisation to tackle these challenges.

All the intellectuals present shared their views and suggestions. Subsequently, a consensus was reached to form a new executive committee for the organisation.

Shaukat Khan, retired Additional Commissioner, was unanimously elected President with Haji Yakub Theem serving as Patron. Ayub Khan, Retired Additional SP, elected Senior Vice President; Dr. Shamshad Ali Chejara, Professor, College Education (Vice President); Dr. F.H. Gauri, Senior Physician, (General Secretary); Mohammad Ayaz Khan, DDP, (Legal Advisor); Arif Khan, Vice Principal (Treasurer); Dr. Qadir Hussain and Usman Ansari (Joint Secretaries); Mohammad Rasheed Khan, Retired Teacher (Deputy Treasurer); Mohammad Ali Pathan, Journalist and Karamat Ali Khan, Urdu Writer (Media In-charges)

The meeting was conducted by Mohammad Arif Khan, Vice Principal, and concluded in a cordial atmosphere.
