The recent murder of Neha Hiremath, an MCA student at KLE Technological University in Hubballi, has sparked widespread outrage and impassioned calls for justice throughout the region.
In response to this shocking incident, numerous organizations and community members, including representatives of the Muslim community, have taken to the streets to denounce the heinous crime and demand severe punishment for the accused perpetrator.
The students affiliated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest outside the university premises where the murder occurred, demanding justice and urging authorities to ensure that the perpetrator, Fayaz, faces the most stringent penalties under the law.
The murder has not only triggered outrage but also ignited broader discussions about campus safety and the efficacy of law enforcement measures.
The Muslim community in Hubballi staged a protest, demanding swift and severe punishment for the accused. Community leaders strongly condemned the gruesome murder and urged authorities to take immediate and decisive action against the perpetrator. Presidents of various Anjumans, including Anjuman-e-Islam in Alnavara, Kundagola, Kalaghatagi, Hubballi, and Dharwad, appealed to the commissioner for justice.
Anjuman-e-Islam also wrote a letter to the chief minister, emphasizing the importance of conducting an impartial investigation free from political or caste influences. They underscored the critical need to apprehend the accused swiftly to provide closure and justice to Neha’s grieving family, who have suffered an irreparable loss.
Copies of these letters have been formally submitted to the Collector, police, and other pertinent authorities, intensifying the urgent call for swift and equitable action in response to this tragic incident.
