Outrage After CRPF Personnel Caught Secretly Filming Woman at Delhi Airport

New Delhi: A viral video has sparked outrage after a woman alleged that a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel secretly took her pictures at Delhi airport. The incident occurred on September 16, when Aayesha Khan noticed the man repeatedly pointing his phone toward her while pretending to be on a call.

According to her account, when she confronted him, he initially denied the act. However, on being pressed to show his phone, the photos were found. “He had the photos. He had pictures of my legs,” she said in her Instagram post.

The woman described the incident as a betrayal of trust, noting that the accused was from a security force responsible for protecting citizens. “Women’s safety in India has become a cruel joke. And when those tasked with protecting us violate that trust, it’s more than misconduct — it’s betrayal,” she said.

The video shared by Khan shows her confronting the CRPF personnel as he scrolls through his gallery, revealing the pictures. The footage has drawn wide condemnation online, with many questioning the culture of impunity and lack of accountability among security staff.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which oversees security at Indian airports, issued a statement acknowledging the incident. It said that action would be taken against the personnel. However, details of disciplinary measures have not been disclosed.

The case has reignited debate about women’s safety in public spaces, particularly in institutions entrusted with national security. Advocates argue that such incidents demand strict accountability and gender-sensitive training for law enforcement personnel.
