Hyderabad, May 4: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has appealed to voters of Dhubri constituency in Assam to elect Maulana Badruddin Ajmal, president of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF).
Owaisi, through a video message, urged the voters of Dhubri to ensure victory of Badruddin Ajmal, who is seeking re-election for the fourth consecutive term.
Calling Badruddin Ajmal his elder brother, Owaisi appealed to people to cast their valuable vote for him and elect him as MP for another term.
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief said that Badruddin Ajmal and his organization have a record of public service.
Owaisi said the AIUDF president had requested him to visit the constituency and address a couple of public meetings but he could not visit Dhubri due to his prior engagements.
“I appeal to the people of Dhubri to send Badruddin Ajmal sahab to Lok Sabha again so that he can continue to raise his voice for the poor and oppressed people of Assam. Considering the prevailing political situation in the country, I request you to elect him with a huge majority,” he said.
Owaisi, who is seeking re-election from Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency for the fifth consecutive term, said after the elections he would visit Dhubri to thank the people.
