Owaisi Blames Modi Government for Intelligence Failure in Pahalgam Terror Attack

Hyderabad : All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has held the Narendra Modi-led central government responsible for a major intelligence failure in connection with the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. The attack claimed the lives of at least 28 people, including foreign tourists from the UAE and Nepal, reported the Sahil Online.
Speaking to media in Hyderabad on Wednesday, Owaisi strongly condemned the “painful and horrific” massacre, likening its brutality to the deadly attacks in Uri and Pulwama. “This incident is even more painful, more condemnable,” he said. He demanded that the Modi government immediately fix accountability for the lapse in security that led to such devastation.
Owaisi stated that the terrorists, reportedly from across the border, had asked victims about their religion before opening indiscriminate fire. He emphasized that such acts are not just terrorism but targeted communal violence, aimed at destabilizing peace in the region. “This is not just a failure of intelligence. This is a massacre,” he declared.
The AIMIM leader questioned the effectiveness of the government’s deterrence strategy and asked whether their policies have been successful in preventing such attacks. He also expressed concern that the attack was a deliberate attempt to harm the growing tourism sector in Kashmir.
Owaisi extended his party’s condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured. He said, “We stand in solidarity with the victims’ families and demand justice at the earliest.”
The deadly attack in the scenic town of Pahalgam on Tuesday sent shockwaves across the nation, with many political leaders demanding answers and action. As investigations continue, calls for greater accountability and stronger intelligence mechanisms grow louder.
