A tailor by profession in a small town Shirhatti in Gadag district of central Karnataka, Riyaz Ahmed has donated more than three acres of land for different institutions like Moulana Azad School and a polytechnic.
Brought up in a poor family and school dropout, Riyaz Ahmed has been running a tailoring shop for three decades. He always had the feeling to help poor children in seeking education. Riyaz’s family members are happy that they are in a position to contribute something for the cause of education, an act that is being celebrated by the community. Many have expressed their gratitude and saluted the family’s humaneness, with several comments emphasizing that this act will inspire many more to contribute to society.
