Political Activities Intensify as Rajasthan By-Election Dates Announced

Jaipur: With the Election Commission announcing the schedule for by-elections on seven assembly seats in Rajasthan, political activities have gained momentum. Nominations for these crucial by-elections will begin on October 18, with the last date for filing being October 25. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on October 28, and candidates can withdraw their nominations until October 30. Voting is scheduled for November 13, while the counting of votes will occur on November 23.

By-elections are to be held in Salumber, Chaurasi, Dausa, Deoli-Uniyara, Jhunjhunu, Ramgarh, and Khinvsar constituencies. These by-elections were necessitated due to various factors: Congress MLA Zubair Khan’s death left Ramgarh seat vacant, while another Congress MLAs from Jhunjhunu, Deoli-Uniyara, and Dausa won their respective Lok Sabha seats, creating vacancies. Similarly, BAP MLA Rajkumar Roat from Chaurasi and RLP MLA Hanuman Beniwal from Khinvsar vacated their seats after becoming MPs. The Salumber seat became vacant following the death of BJP MLA Amrit Lal Meena.

Opposition parties, including Congress, BAP, and RLP, have ramped up their election preparations.
