Aligarh: Prof Imran Ahmad from the Department of Plastic Surgery, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, presented his research on the comparative study of surgical outcomes in Gynecomastia patients at the prestigious International Aesthetic Meet 2025 held in Dubai.
In his talk, Prof Ahmad addressed the underlying causes of Gynecomastia, emphasising the increasing consumption of adulterated milk products and the use of bodybuilding protein supplements by young adults. He also highlighted the risks associated with fast food and poultry products grown using hormonal treatments, as well as chemically treated vegetables.
Sharing details of his surgical approach, he explained that Gynecomastia correction can be achieved through a minimal incision technique that leaves no visible scars. The procedure can also be performed through liposuction or a combination of both techniques, ensuring effective results with minimal scarring.
Currently, Prof Ahmad runs a dedicated Hand Clinic every Monday at J.N. Medical College and Trauma Centre, catering to patients with congenital and traumatic hand conditions.
