Aligarh: Prof Syed Ali Nadeem Rezavi, Department of History, Aligarh Muslim University and General Secretary, Indian History Congress inaugurated the ninth international conference of the Kerala History Congress at MES Kalladi College, Mannarkkad, Palakkad district of Kerala on January 10, 2025.
Delivering the keynote address, Prof Rezavi stressed the need for preserving history and protecting the integrity of historical records. He urged the scholars and students of history to remain vigilant of any intentional attempt to corrupt historical facts by people who rely on fabricated materials.
He raised deep concern over the distortion of India’s history and warned that it posed a significant threat to the country’s pluralistic past and diverse cultural heritage. He exhorted the rightminded people to resist any attempt to manipulate historical facts for ideological or political gain.
Kerala History Congress president V. Karthikeyan Nair presided over the inaugural session.
