Hyderabad: The All India Bazm-e-Rahmat Alam has announced that the Rahmat Alam Peace Award 2025 will be presented to Professor Vipin Kumar Tripathi. The award will be conferred during the upcoming Jashn-e-Milad-un-Nabi celebrations, which the organization hosts annually with large-scale participation.
Bazm President M.A. Mujeeb, a senior High Court advocate, said that the award recognizes individuals who work for communal harmony, defend human rights, and counter misconceptions about Islam and Muslims. Professor Tripathi was selected for his lifelong commitment to Hindu-Muslim unity and his outspoken stand against terrorism and injustice.
Tripathi has been active for over three decades, publishing pamphlets at his own expense to spread awareness on social and political issues. Known popularly as “Pamphlet Miyan,” he distributes his writings directly to the public and delivers short talks promoting peace and justice. He has consistently condemned Israel’s military actions in Gaza, expressed solidarity with Palestinians, and even observed fasts in protest. On Independence Day this year, he staged demonstrations highlighting his belief that India’s freedom remains incomplete until Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state.
The Rahmat Alam Peace Award has been given annually for the past seven years. Past recipients include Professor Kancha Ilaiah, Captain Panduranga Rao, writer Ram Puniyani, journalist Rohit Upadhyay, and others. The 2025 award ceremony will be part of a large public program, with scholars from across India scheduled to participate. Venue and dates will be announced shortly.
