New Delhi: The Society for Bright Future (SBF) launched its winter relief initiative, Project Rahat, with a blanket distribution drive at The Scholar School here Sunday. This event provided 100 blankets to underprivileged individuals battling the cold, alongside messages encouraging self-reliance.
Under Project Rahat, SBF has distributed over 300,000 blankets nationwide and aims to distribute an additional 20,000 blankets across 13 states this year.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Professor Masood Ahsan Siddiqui, Department of Geography, JMI; Kaleemul Hafeez, Chairman, AlHafeez Educational Academy and CMD, Hotel River View; Aslam Naved, Ateequr Rahman, Treasurer, SBF; and Aqeel Khan.
Other key attendees included Irfan Ahmed, National Coordinator, SBF; Dr. Aamir Jamal, National Volunteer Coordinator; and Ashhar Alam, PR Coordinator. All commended SBF’s commitment to social welfare, praising its contributions to nation-building and urging public support for its initiatives.
Irfan Ahmed emphasised the importance of public solidarity and highlighted SBF’s humanitarian efforts. Dr. Aamir Jamal provided an overview of Project Rahat, detailing the organisation’s broader goals in supporting vulnerable communities.
Project Rahat is SBF’s flagship winter relief programme, operating across 13 states to assist underprivileged communities during harsh winters. Since its inception, the programme has distributed nearly 300,000 blankets, helping countless individuals endure cold weather conditions.
Beyond winter relief, SBF is a leading NGO in disaster management, providing timely aid, rehabilitation, and risk mitigation for affected communities. Its mission is to reduce the impact of disasters, safeguard vulnerable populations, and promote humanitarian efforts across India.
