Mumbai: The Professional Solidarity Forum (PSF Mumbai) organized Kafalat Fee Receipt Distribution and Parenting Awareness Programs at two locations, Malvani and Mira Road, reinforcing its commitment to supporting students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Malvani program was held on 30 August 2026 at Golden 71 Hall, MHADA, Malvani, and drew approximately 110 parents and students. The event opened with Tilawat-e-Quran by Mr. Hashim. Faisal Dandoti of PSF Mumbai then delivered the inaugural address, introducing the organization, its Kafalat initiative, and the three key verticals through which PSF serves professionals and the wider community.
The centerpiece of the Malvani program was a talk on Smart Parenting delivered by Parvez Ansari, Head of the Science Department, IGCSE Section, Jankidevi Public School, Andheri. Drawing on 18 years of experience in teaching and student counselling, he addressed the importance of understanding children’s challenges, effective communication between parents and children, and the practical role parents play in academic and personal growth.
Fee receipts and prizes were distributed to Kafalat students at the event. Two students who achieved the highest percentiles in the recent SSC examination were specially felicitated by PSF. PSF volunteers from Malvani also introduced themselves to attendees and shared their vision for community support. The program closed with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Nazim Pinjari.
A similar program was conducted in Mira Road, where Kafalat students and their parents gathered for fee receipt distribution and a session focused on parental responsibility. The program opened with Tilawat-e-Quran. The keynote address was delivered by Syed Sharif Sir, who spoke on the responsibility of parents in guiding their children’s academic journey and overall development, stressing the need for active parental involvement and the right educational priorities.
A total of 21 Kafalat students from Mira Road were recognized and felicitated for their academic efforts. Distinguished guests Dr. Abdul Khalik and Dr. Ejaz acknowledged the importance of supporting students from financially weaker backgrounds and praised PSF’s work in helping students pursue education with greater confidence. The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Ariba Sayyad, PSF Core Social Service Lead.
Across both locations, the programs reflected PSF’s approach of combining financial assistance with student recognition, parental awareness, and community engagement, creating an environment where students and families receive support on multiple levels.
