Aligarh: The Centre for Quranic Studies at Aligarh Muslim University hosted an insightful session titled “The Quran: Languages in the World” as part of its ongoing Quran Extension Lecture Series. This session was a key segment of “Creative Wonders of Allah in the Quran: A Scientific Study Series,” which examines the Quran’s impact from linguistic and scientific perspectives.

The guest speaker, Professor Ziaur Rahman Siddiqui from the Department of Urdu, explored the Quran’s profound influence on languages, cultures, and civilizations worldwide. He emphasised how the Quran, revealed in classical Arabic, has shaped linguistic scholarship across different eras.

Professor Abdur Raheem Kidwai, Director of the Centre, provided valuable insights into the Quran’s universal linguistic significance and its enduring role in intellectual traditions.
