New Delhi: Iran’s Ambassador to India, Dr. Iraj Elahi, condemned Israel’s recent attack on Hamas leaders in Qatar, describing it as part of a broader agenda of aggression across the Middle East. Speaking at a press briefing, Elahi called the strike “a new evidence of the brutality of Israel and Zionists” and said it reflects a systematic disregard for international law and state sovereignty.
Elahi emphasized that the attack on Qatar is not an isolated incident. He accused Israel of imposing its will through force and intimidation, especially after failing to achieve its goals in Gaza. The ambassador criticized Israel’s focus on targeting leaders, warning that such actions will not end resistance. “Even if they eliminate one person or assassinate one leader, the next generation will rise to occupy their role,” he said, calling the approach shortsighted and doomed to fail.
The Iranian envoy also highlighted global indifference to what he termed Israel’s violations of international law and attacks on humanity, citing the assassinations of Iranian scientists and citizens. He placed the Qatar attack within a broader pattern of aggression, including airstrikes in Syria, occupation of southern Lebanon, and destruction in Gaza.
Elahi urged unity among Muslim nations against Israel’s actions. “I hope all Muslims will stand united against Israel’s oppression and violations of international law,” he said. He noted that global awareness of Israel’s intentions is growing and called for collective resistance to halt the widening cycle of violence.
The statement signals a rise in diplomatic tension as the international community continues to monitor the evolving situation between Israel, Iran, and other regional players.
