JIH Vice President, Malik Moatasim Khan Calls for Collaboration Among Muslim Nations

Tehran: The Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Malik Moatasim Khan has underlined that the unity of Muslim countries depends on the will and intention of their leaders. Speaking to IQNA on the sidelines of the 39th International Islamic Unity Conference, he said Muslim governments have the potential to create strong coalitions for economic, scientific, and industrial progress if they possess the will to act.

“We are seeing how the European Union is working. We are seeing how NATO is working. Then how is it not possible for Muslim countries to form coalitions for development?” Khan asked. “The problem is will. If governments want, it is possible. If they do not, nothing can be achieved.”

Khan also criticized organizations such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, saying they have failed to achieve practical results. He emphasized the need for grassroots collaboration among intellectuals, academics, and media professionals to strengthen bonds within the Muslim world.

On the Palestinian issue, Khan described it as the “issue of heart and soul for Muslims.” He stressed that the suffering of Palestinians is not only a religious or regional matter but a question of justice. “Every corner of the Ummah should unite without hesitation and support their resistance,” he urged.

Khan further highlighted the importance of moral development for future generations. He said Muslims should resist Western dominance without falling into extremism or backwardness. “Neither east nor west. Islam is the best,” he stated.
