(Saharanpur): Maulana Qari Ishaq Gora, senior Aalim of Deoband and patron of Jamiat Dawatul Muslimeen, sharply rebuked Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri for urging the national anthem in temples, mosques and churches. He said religious leaders must preach faith, not politics. He warned against using religious platforms to provoke hate. Patriotism must live in the heart, not appear as a public test. He accused political groups of exploiting inflammatory remarks for votes. He urged religious figures to heal social divisions.
Maulana Gora also addressed the rising use of interest in daily life. He warned loans on consumer goods erode household blessings. He cited Quranic rulings: trade is permitted, usury is forbidden. He cited a hadith naming those who give, take and witness interest as guilty. He told Muslim families to pursue lawful income and avoid debt traps. He said true blessing means peace in modest means.
On education he urged youth to balance religious study with modern knowledge. He said both are essential for livelihood and guidance. On social media he urged care before sharing posts. He warned a single share might harm a person or a community. He called for restraint from spreading rumors.
Maulana Gora concluded by asking ulema to unite society. He said religious dress must not become a cover for politics. He urged leaders to promote harmony and respect across communities. He appealed to all faiths to stand against hatred and to build national unity. He urged local leaders to act with wisdom and courage. Peace must prevail.
