Speaking on the theme “Physiotherapy – Need of the Society,” he emphasized that physiotherapy is not limited to post-injury recovery but has become a central pillar of preventive health and rehabilitation.

Prof. Irani outlined its growing importance in addressing lifestyle disorders, managing chronic illnesses, supporting athletes, and improving the quality of life for senior citizens and differently abled individuals. He also explained how physiotherapy plays a vital role in prenatal and postnatal care, sports rehabilitation, and geriatric health.

The session included live demonstrations of techniques for hamstring release and neck pain relief, giving participants hands-on insights into practical applications. He urged greater awareness, skill-based training, and research in the field to keep up with evolving healthcare needs. Highlighting the upcoming NCAHP Council introduced in March 2025, he noted its role in formalizing professional standards.
