Raising Standard of Minority Educational Institutions Need of the Hour: Prof. Salim Engineer

New Delhi: A one-day national-level workshop was organised by the Federation of Minority Educational Institutions (FMEI) at the headquarters of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind here Wednesday. The event was attended by educationists, administrators, leaders, and representatives associated with various educational institutions from different states across the country.

Prof. Salim Engineer, Chairman of the Central Board of Education, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, delivered the keynote address and provided intellectual guidance in the field of education. He stated that the objective of this workshop was to raise the educational standards of minority institutions across India, identify the challenges they face, and further strengthen and streamline the activities of FMEI.

On this occasion, Mr. Syed Tanveer Ahmed, General Secretary of FMEI, delivered a detailed address on the topic “Improving the Quality of Educational Institutions: Plans and Challenges.” He emphasised the importance of aligning educational institutions with contemporary needs and global standards.

Mr. Muhammad Asifuddin, General Secretary of FMEI, Karnataka, highlighted the need for expansion, consolidation, and systematic networking of FMEI at the state level.

During the workshop, annual reports from various state branches were presented, providing a comprehensive overview of FMEI’s activities and progress in different regions.

An open session was also held, where participants shared their experiences, suggestions, and concerns.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Syed Tanveer Ahmed discussed FMEI’s future roadmap and emphasised the importance of promoting quality, values, and effectiveness in education through collaboration among all institutions.

The programme convener, Mr. Muhammad Ashfaq Alam Nadwi, expressed gratitude to all participants, speakers, and organisers.

The program commenced under the moderation of Mr. Shariq Ansar, followed by a “Tazkeer” (reminder/reflection) presented by Maulana Inamulllah Falahi, Curriculum Coordinator, Central Board of Education.
