Rajasthan Assembly Elections: SIO to give ‘Public Mandate’ to Political Parties

Students Islamic Organization of India (SIO) Rajasthan Zone has decided to give students and youth manifesto to the candidates of various political parties for the upcoming Rajasthan Assembly Elections 2023. The students and youth manifesto titled “Public Mandate” is a state level campaign which urges the political parties to include the demands and suggestions of students, youth and general public in their respective party manifestos.

The poster of this campaign was released at the state office of SIO Rajasthan, Jaipur on Thursday. On this occasion, State President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Rajasthan, Muhammad Nazimuddin; JIH State General Secretary Shahid Khan; State President of SIO Rajasthan Zone, Muhammad Adil; SIO State General Secretary Muhammad Zahid; SIO State Secretary Salim Akhtar and Muhammad Sadiq were present.

What is the public mandate?

People’s Mandate: There is preparation to release a manifesto of students and youth for Rajasthan Assembly Elections-2023. Its slogan has been kept as “Chhatr Yuva Ki Yahi Pukar, Sabki Aawaz Sune Sarkar” (This is the call of students and youth, let the government entertain everyone’s voice).

State General Secretary of SIO Rajasthan, Mohammad Zahid said that they have invited suggestions from the general public to convey the issues they want to be included in the manifestos of political parties that are in the political fray in the Rajasthan Assembly elections.

Zahid said, We have sought suggestions from the general public to write to us and send us their opinions on the following issues for the Youth and Students Manifesto:

    • What changes do you want in the field of education?
    • In terms of environmental protection?
    • What should be the employment opportunities for the youth?
    • What privileges should girls and women get?
    • How to make human rights laws effective?
    • What should be the responsibility of the government for the upliftment of minorities?

He said that if people want to speak on other issues besides these, that is also welcome. Students and youth can send their suggestions to SIO Rajasthan through Google Form link or email.
