Jaipur, Feb. 12: Rajasthan Milli Council held a state-level conference on “Today’s Situation and Responsibilities of Muslims” at Muslim Musafirkhana here Sunday.
Various Muslim organizations from Rajasthan participated in the conference. All speakers stressed the need for awareness in education and importance of coming together.
Chairing the meeting, Mohammad Atique, President of Marwar Muslim Education Society, Jodhpur, said the current situation in the country is difficult for Muslims. He further said political parties are only interested in their own interests and are not willing to take any steps to help the Muslim community.
The conference resolved to work to improve the educational status of the Muslim community, promote unity among Muslims, and fight against discrimination and injustice. It also called upon Muslims to participate in the political process and to vote for candidates who will work for their interests.
