Jaipur, Mar 2: In a strong reaction to the Education Minister’s announcement in meetings to suspend teachers of Baran and Kota districts, and the subsequent issuance of suspension orders by education officials, and the malicious suspension and APO of many other teachers, Rajasthan Shikshak Sangh (Shekhawat) (RSS-Shekhawat) State President Mahaveer Sihag and General Secretary Upendra Sharma said ours is a democratic country and the government is run by the Constitution. All citizens, including teachers, have the rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
The announcement of suspension of teachers and lecturers of district cadre without any reasonable cause and without investigation and the order to give the headquarters to Directorate Bikaner outside the district during the suspension period shows the intention of harassing the teachers and creating fear in the teaching community. An atmosphere of fear and terror will push the education department into a pit. The teachers are getting angry due to continuous actions of the education department.
State Vice President Ashok Lodhawal reminded that the Education Minister is the head of the department and also the guardian. He has taken an oath to uphold the Constitution. Therefore, it’s expected from him that he will contribute to the protection of the basic spirit of the Constitution like equality, justice, development of scientific outlook, dignity and brotherhood. If injustice is done by the lower departmental officials, the teachers can appeal to the Education Minister, but if the Education Minister himself issues instructions for malicious action against teachers without proper investigation, the teachers have no option but to take to the streets for justice.
Therefore, RSS-Shekhawat has demanded immediate withdrawal of suspension and APO against the teachers without proper investigation.
