Rajouri’s Young Boxer Mohd Yasar Wins Gold at U-15 Asian Cup, Brings Glory to India

Mohd Yasar, a 14-year-old boxer from Rajouri district, won gold medal at the U-15 Asian Cup held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Representing India in the 58kg category, the young athlete delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament and secured the Asian title by defeating a competitor from the host nation.

Yasar’s remarkable achievement has brought pride not only to Rajouri and the region but also to J&K and the entire country. His victory has been widely praised by sports officials, coaches, students, and residents, who described it as a historic moment for the region.

According to family members, this was Yasar’s first appearance at an international tournament, making his gold medal triumph even more extraordinary.
