Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Rajasthan Hosts Ramadan Introduction and Iftar Program, Promoting Interfaith Harmony

Jaipur, Rajasthan – In a heartwarming display of interfaith unity, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s Rajasthan unit organized a “Ramadan Introduction Program and Iftar Gathering” on Sunday, bringing together representatives from diverse religious and social organizations. The event, held to educate attendees about the significance of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting observed by Muslims worldwide, saw enthusiastic participation from leaders across faiths and ideologies.
Muhammad Nazimuddin, the state President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Rajasthan, took center stage to deliver an insightful introduction to Ramadan. He elaborated on its spiritual essence, emphasizing themes of self-discipline, empathy for the less fortunate, and communal solidarity through fasting from dawn till dusk. “Ramadan is not just about abstaining from food and drink; it’s a time for reflection, charity, and strengthening bonds with humanity,” Nazimuddin remarked, captivating the audience with his eloquent explanation.
The program featured active contributions from attendees, who shared their thoughts on fostering religious harmony and social justice in contemporary India. Representatives from a wide array of groups graced the occasion, including the Christian community, BamSef, Buddhist Maha Sabha, Congress party, CPI(M), Bharat Jodo Abhiyan, and Samagra Seva Sangh. Their presence underscored the event’s commitment to dialogue and mutual respect amid Rajasthan’s diverse socio-political landscape.
A highlight of the evening was the collective iftar the breaking of the fast where all participants joined hands to share a simple yet symbolic meal of dates, fruits, and traditional dishes. This shared ritual symbolized breaking barriers and building bridges, with attendees exchanging stories and pledging continued collaboration on community welfare initiatives.
The program concluded on a grateful note, with Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Rajasthan’s General Secretary, Shahid Khan, extending heartfelt thanks to all guests. “Your participation reaffirms our shared vision of an inclusive society where every voice matters,” Khan said, as the gathering dispersed with renewed optimism for inter-community ties.
This event aligns with Jamaat-e-Islami Hind’s ongoing efforts in Rajasthan to promote education, social service, and religious understanding, especially resonant during Ramadan 2026.
