Ramzan Gatherings in Bengaluru Call for Quranic Awareness and Social Harmony

Bengaluru: Two programmes held in the city during Ramzan highlighted the spiritual message of fasting and the responsibility of Muslims to uphold the teachings of the Quran while strengthening bonds across communities.

At a Tazkir programme at Masjid e Ala in RT Nagar after Zuhr prayer, Maulana Hafiz Wahiduddin Khan Umri Madani, Secretary Halqa of Jamaat e Islami Hind Karnataka, urged believers to rise and spread the message of the Quran. He said those who understand the Quran cannot remain silent. They must dedicate themselves to conveying Allah’s guidance to humanity. He described the Quran as a revolutionary book that transforms lives when read with reflection and commitment.

Maulana Madani said fasting renews faith and builds piety. He reminded the gathering that the Quran was revealed in the blessed month of Ramzan. He stressed that the month offers an opportunity for self correction and renewed dedication to divine guidance.

In a separate programme, Jamaat e Islami Hind Mysore Road organised a harmony iftar at the Islamic Center hall. Riyaz Ahmed Ron, Assistant Secretary of Jamaat e Islami Hind Karnataka, addressed the gathering. He said fasting refines the soul and raises spiritual awareness. He called for building bridges of love and understanding instead of division. He urged participants to study the teachings of all religions to promote mutual respect.

Former Bengaluru Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Ramegowda expressed hope that such events take place frequently to strengthen social harmony.
