Reconstitute Delhi Bharatiya Chikitsa Parishad: Tibbi Congress

All India Unani Tibbi Congress Delhi State Meeting and Iftar Party Organised

New Delhi: A meeting and Iftar party of the All India Unani Tibbi Congress Delhi State was organised at Daryaganj here today. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Meerathi.

During the meeting, hopes were expressed regarding the newly formed BJP government in Delhi, stating that the pending healthcare and medical-related issues, which were not addressed by previous governments despite repeated appeals, might now be resolved since the same party is in power at both the state and central levels.

The meeting emphasised that the new Delhi government should work towards improving the AYUSH department. A unanimous demand was made to the Delhi government to reconstitute the Delhi Bharatiya Chikitsa Parishad (DBCP), which has been dissolved for the past eight years, at the earliest. Additionally, it was urged that India’s first Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbiya College, established by Hakim Ajmal Khan, should be upgraded to a university, and a museum in Karol Bagh should be built in his memory.

On this occasion, all attendees congratulated Rekha Gupta on becoming the Chief Minister of Delhi and expressed confidence that, given her active involvement in the city’s development, she would also consider their demands.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, senior journalist Mohammad Arif Iqbal, Dr. Mirza Asif Beg, Dr. Faheem Malik, Dr. Shakeel Ahmed Hapudi, Dr. Ghiyasuddin Siddiqui, Dr. Ahsan Ahmed Siddiqui, Dr. Faizan Ahmed Siddiqui, Dr. Uzair Baqai, Dr. Moeed Ahmed, Hakim Murtaza, Hakim Aftab Alam, Imran Kannauji, Mabsoos Ahmed, Maroof Ahmed, senior journalist Mohammad Owais Gulzar Ahmed, Mohammad Tasleem Raja, Nadeem Arif, and others.

Dr. Ghiyasuddin Siddiqui expressed gratitude to all attendees.
