Kakinada, East Godavari, July 16: The community mourns the loss of esteemed Islamic scholar and preacher, Abdul Rahman, who passed away recently. The news of his demise spread on social media, leaving many in deep sorrow. Abdul Rahman was known for his significant contributions to promoting Islam in the Telugu language, both among Muslims and non-Muslims.
A respected figure, Abdul Rahman dedicated his life to translating Islamic teachings into Telugu, helping Telugu-speaking Muslims understand their faith better, and introducing Islam to non-Muslims. He played a crucial role in training Telugu-speaking Islamic speakers and educators, leaving a lasting legacy in the region.
Throughout his life, Abdul Rahman held organizational responsibilities within the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, working tirelessly for the expansion and strengthening of the organization in Andhra Pradesh. Known for his simplicity, gentle demeanor, sincerity, and love, he remained active until the end of his days. Local sources report that he was around 80 years old, and his health had deteriorated in the last few months.
The community prays for his forgiveness, a high place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and patience for his bereaved family. His contributions to the Islamic community in Andhra Pradesh, both in the current state and the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh, will always be remembered.
