Renowned Syrian Philanthropist ‘Host of the Prophet’s Visitors’ Passes Away in Madinah

Ismail Al-Zaim, a revered Syrian philanthropist known as the “host of the Prophet’s visitors” in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, at the age of 96. For over four decades, Shaykh Ismail Al-Zaim Abu Al-Sabaa dedicated his life to serving free tea and coffee to passersby and worshippers in the holy city of Madinah.

Originally born in the Syrian city of Hama, Al-Zaim immigrated to Madinah over 40 years ago, where he became widely recognized for his acts of kindness and hospitality. His charitable efforts extended to providing free food and beverages daily, serving approximately 300 individuals with coffee, water, dates, ginger, tea, milk, and bread.
